Why did my Acupuncturist recommend herbs?

Herbs can be very good helper to Acupuncture in building up your internal strength so you can receive the full benefits acupuncture has to offer. Ancient Chinese herbal formulas are as effective now as they were when first introduced more than 2,000 years ago. Most formulas consist of two to eighteen different types of herbs. Formulas treat a wide variety of symptoms while stimulating the body’s natural healing process. Hospital studies prescribing individualized complex herbal formulas have demonstrated excellent results with patients who fail to respond to conventional pharmaceutical treatments.

Questions & Answers

How does Micro Needling to improve the skin's appearance?

Micro needling treatment can rapidly create a pattern of micro channels in the treatment area, leaving the skin smoother, fresher, and more uniform. Micro needling allows controlled activation of the body's self-repair mechanism which creates thousands of micro "injuries" in the skin, triggering new collagen synthesis, without the risk of permanent scarring. Micro needling is performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of the sterile needle head which can be performed on most areas of the face and body, including the hands, lips, neck, décolletage and abdomen.

How does a treatment feel?

As a technician lightly presses and glides an activated device across your skin, treatment sensations can vary. Most patients have reported the treatment to be well-tolerated and to feel like light sandpaper moving across the skin.

Will I bleed?

The manner in which the device penetrates the skin will depend on your level of treatment. It is possible to see some pinpoint bleeding that will end shortly after the treatment session.

How long will it take to complete a treatment?

A full face and neck anti-aging treatment is normally completed within 20-40 minutes. Other skin condition treatment times will vary depending on the size and number of the area(s) being treated.

How will my skin feel after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment your skin may be sensitive to touch and appear red or flushed, similar to a moderate sunburn. Usually, within 4-6 hours the redness and sensitivity will diminish, and within 24 hours the micro channels will feel healed. Normally, after 2-3 days, the redness and sensitivity will end, allowing a new, radiant complexion to shine through.
